- Open WhatsApp

- Three options (images, audio, videos) are present in each menu. By default, these three options are turned on. Select each menu and turn off them by tapping on each option and click OK. By doing this, the auto-downloading and saving of images are stopped in your android mobile.
Windows Phone
The users of Windows Phone need to follow the following steps to stop auto downloading and saving photos for your WhatsApp.
- Open WhatsApp
- Click on the three horizontal dots at the bottom of the app. Tap settings.
- Now go to chats and calls and tap on the media auto-download. Click on images and keep the option “never”, by keeping this you will be able to download all content only when you want to. Do the same for both audio and videos. So, the auto-downloading and saving option is disabled in your windows phone.
BlackBerry
For BlackBerry Open WhatsApp and go to Settings and click on the media settings. There in media settings, tap on the media auto-download. In that, it has three menus. Select the “when Using Cellular data” and turn off all three options – (images, audio, videos). Do the same for the remaining menus “when using WiFi” and “roaming”. By this, the auto-downloading and saving of media (images, audio, videos) are stopped.
