Snapchat Failed To Send -In this article, I’m going to show you what to do when Snapchat keeps saying ‘Failed to Send. Tap to Reply’.

Tech mistake | At the top of this message, you also see, ‘Could not send. Please try again.

This message can be really annoying because it doesn’t allow you to text your friends and family.

I’m going to show you why Snapchat fails to send a message and a few ways you can try and fix this issue.

By the end of this article, you should have got rid of the ‘Tap to Retry’ message that won’t go away when you keep tapping it.

Snapchat is a popular social media channel used to send messages back and forth.

When there’s an issue with Snapchat, it can cause several problems that stop you from using the app to its fullest potential.

Even when you try a few troubleshooting steps to fix the issue, you still can’t send the message. Down below are a few different reasons as to why this message stays there.

Why Does Snapchat Keep Saying Tap to Retry?

The reason Snapchat says Tap to retry is that you’re experiencing a system glitch in Snapchat that stops your messages from sending.

This glitch causes Snapchat to stop sending the message for one chat and this stops the chat or snaps from ever sending regardless of how many times you tap it.

You can fix this by getting rid of the glitch with a few Snapchat troubleshooting steps.

This failed to send message won’t go away even if you delete it.

With the glitch, this message is also not going to send specifically for one person rather than everyone you send it to.

You’ll still be able to send messages, but it won’t go away for certain people or one chat specifically.

Down below are some steps that are going to fix this.

    Check your WI-FI Connection

The first thing you need to do before anything is to check your WI-FI connection.

The main cause for your messages not sending is that you haven’t got a good internet connection.

You need to have an internet connection to send and receive messages and if you don’t, you’re going to experience issues.

You can easily fix this by turning your Wi-Fi off then on, switching between Wi-Fi and data or vice versa, or turning your router off then on.

If you’ve done all of this and you try and send the message again, it should send if your internet connection was causing the issue.

If this didn’t fix the issue, go to the next step.

Check if the Snapchat Server is Down

The next thing you need to do is to check if the Snapchat servers are down.

If you notice that the tap to retry message is showing for all of your messages, you can assess whether Snapchat is down.

When Snapchat is down, this means that a lot of people will be experiencing the same issue as you so you should worry.

The Snapchat app on your device runs on a server and that allows you to have access to the app.

When the servers are down, it means that you can’t send and receive messages.

When a server is down, it means that the server can’t respond to the number of IP requests it’s receiving from users trying to use Snapchat.

This can simply be caused by the power to the server being cut off.

To check this, you can either ask a friend on another social media or via text whether Snapchat is working properly for them.

If they’re experiencing issues as well, likely, Snapchat servers are down. You can also go to the down detector to check if Snapchat servers are down and look at the server location next to you.

Restart your device and Close Snapchat

The next thing you need to do in this situation is to restart your device after closing Snapchat.

When you close Snapchat, you’re shutting down the system which means that there’s a chance that the glitch will go away.

Restarting your device gets rid of all the glitches that are going on within your phone.

The system is shut down then restarted again which means that all the issues that are stopping Snapchat from working are going to be wiped.

Restarting is a popular troubleshooting step to take because it’s very quick and it usually fixes the problem.

Before you try and restart your device, you need to close Snapchat in the background so it’s not active while the system shuts down.

Once you restart your device, you can open Snapchat and check whether you can tap and send the message again. If this doesn’t work, go to the next step.

Log in & Out of Snapchat

The last step you can take in this situation is to log out then back in again. When you log out, it’s going to get rid of the account you logged into.

This may get rid of any issues that were causing your messages not to send and it’s worked for me plenty of times. ‘

After you’ve logged back into Snapchat, you can then try and tap to retry and see if the message will send.

    Bottom Line

That’s how you get rid of the failed to send error on Snapchat.
